This innovative project aims to employ mobile phones which are carried by all of our students in the educational institution to be used in teaching and learning processes. Regarding the traditional use as a mean of communication, the number of mobile phones used in Egypt almost outweigh those in many other countries. The continuous technical development of mobile phones has led to the possibility of using them in the educational process. Their prices are in a steady decline compared with the advanced and continuing potential of hardware. Mobile learning using mobile phones differs from the use of personal computers, e- and distance learning. The availability and actual use of hand-held devices in these large numbers will save millions of pounds when applied in teaching and learning processes. The goal of using mobiles in M-learning is the focus of our attention without the need to provide material support for devices required as is the case for computer devices. The low cost of its operation in addition to many other advantages including small size, light weight and the enormous development lead to a huge number of globally sold mobiles. A number of 3.3 billion mobiles were sold until the year 2009, while in the year 2012- alone, 419 million devices were sold.
يهدف هذا المشروع الابتكاري إلي توظيف الهواتف المحمولة والتي يحملها جميع أبنائنا في المؤسسة التعليمية من اجل استخدامها في عمليتي التعليم والتعلم، وذلك بالإضافة إلي استخدامها التقليدي كوسيلة للاتصال لاسيما أن أعداد الهواتف الجوالة المستخدمة في مصر تكاد تفوق أعدادها في دول أخرى كثيرة. لقد أدى التطور التقني المستمر لهذه الهواتف المحمولة إلى إمكانية استخدامها في العملية التعليمية خاصة أن أسعارها في انخفاض مستمر مقارنة بإمكاناتها المتطورة والمستمرة. إن التعلم المحمول باستخدام الهواتف المحمولة يختلف عن استخدام الحاسبات الشخصية وكذلك عن التعلم الالكتروني والتعلم عن بعد، كما أن توافر الأجهزة المحمولة بهذه الأعداد المستخدمة فعليا سيوفر ملايين الجنيهات عند استخدامها تطبيقيا في عمليتي التعليم والتعلم بحيث يصبح تحقيق الهدف التطبيقي منها هو محور اهتمامنا دون الاحتياج لتوفير الدعم المادي للأجهزة المطلوبة في التطبيق كما هو الحال بالنسبة للأجهزة الحاسوبية مثلا والتي تحتاج إلى تكلفة تشغيل مرتفعة، هذا بالإضافة إلي مميزات أخرى كثيرة منها صغر حجمها وخفة وزنها والتطور الهائل بها حتى وصلت مبيعاتها عالميا حتى العام 2009 إلى حوالي 3.3 مليار جهاز وفي العام 2012 وحده بلغت المبيعات 419 مليون جهاز
